The man made resort of Calete de Fuste (also known as Castillo) is situated in the middle of the island, providing easy assess to the airport (approx 15 minutes drive), the capital Puerto del Rosario (20 minutes drive), the resort of Corralejo in the north (45 minutes drive) and the resort of Costa Calma in the south (approx 1 hour). The picturesque marina houses a small aquarium and local boat trips can be arranged from here.

The long man made beach has been specifically designed in a horseshoe shape to avoid strong currents and so it is safe for young children if supervised and there are a number of water sports available for enthusiasts, including diving, jet ski hire and windsurfing.
